Martin works as an analyst at the Institute of Economic and Social Studies INESS in Bratislava. His fields of interest include the business environment and competitiveness with focus on healthcare, retail and energy sectors, aiming on improving the business conditions in Slovakia. He founded the Bureaucracy Index in 2016 and initiated the "Deregulation, not simplification" international manifesto under the 4liberty umbrella.

Martin graduated in Economic Policy from the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University in Brno, and in Economics, Management and International Relations from the Graduate Business School, Aberdeen University.
