
Dominik Stroukal lectures at the Metropolitan University Prague. He is the author of several books, a member of the National Economic Council of the Government (NERV) and an economic advisor to SatoshiLabs. You can hear him regularly on the podcast In the Cotton.
He is the author of the first Czech book on Bitcoin (2015) and other cryptocurrencies (2021, second edition 2019). His book Dark Web: Sex, Drugs and Bitcoins was published in 2020.
He has a PhD in economics from the University of Economics, in addition to which he also studied media studies at Charles University.
In the past, he was Chief Economist at Roger Payment Institution, Bank CREDITAS and Roklen Financial Group, Director of the Liberal Institute and Ludwig von Mises Institute for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He hosted the Business Speak podcast, the "Who's Paying?" on MALL.TV, headed bit agency, was editor-in-chief of the Trade-off magazine, and managing director of the trade journal New Perspectives on Political Economy.
He was head of the Department of Economics at CEVRO Institute, taught at the University of Finance and Administration, the University of Economics and at PORG high schools. During the first wave of the pandemic, he hosted E15's "Let's Do It" show.
