Born in Bilbao (Spain), she studied piano and organ at the Conservatories Superiors of the Basque Country Bilbao and San Sebastian. She studied conducting with Masson, D. Rouits, A. Voirpy, S. Celibidache, L. Shambadal, and G.Devos in England, Germany, Italy, and France where she also obtained the title of Maitrise of Musicology from the University of Paris.

Assistant conductor of M. Rostropovitch at the Vienna National Opera (Staatsoper), she has worked with singers of the level of Plácido Domingo and with stage directors such as Werner Herzog and Cesare Lievi in ​​countless outstanding productions at the Paris-Bastille Opera, the Grand Theater in Limoges, the Bonn Opera, and the Vienna National Opera as well as in various productions of the Salzburg Festival. She has been Head of Singing for the Vienna Chamber Opera (Wiener Kammeroper) and later was appointed musical director of the Lyric Theater in St. Pölten (Austria). Actively participates in the Venezia Biennale representing Austria.

Invited conductor by various European Ensembles and Orchestras including Bratislava Opera, Banska Bystrica Opera, Slovak Sinfonietta (Slovakia), Budapest Chamber Orchestra, Österreichisches Ensemble für Neue Musik, Die Reihe, Tonkünstler Ensemble Wien, Jugendstiltheater Wien, Salzburger Festspiele, Graz Opera (Austria), Schleswig Holstein Festival (Germany), Teatro di Bolzano, Lecce Symphony Orchestra (Italy), COMA Festival in Madrid, Euskadi Youth Orchestra, Bilbao BOS Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra from Euskadi OSE, Sax-Ensemble (Spain) as well as director of multimedia projects, she is the performer of numerous concerts as a pianist, making several recordings for Austrian Radio Television (ORF) and TVE ( spanish tv).

Contributor of the newspaper El Correo, she is also a professor in the Opera department of the Vienna Conservatory, artistic and musical director of various international projects specialized in the spread of contemporary music as well as a professor in  Musikene, Higher School of Music of the Basque Country.
