Montgomery Federalist Society is pleased to welcome Douglas Carswell for a special luncheon event. Elected to Parliament on four occasions across two political parties, he later became an independent before stepping down. He is also the co-founder of Vote Leave, the official campaign that won the EU referendum.

This talk will explore the ignition of the modern world and the emergence of the free market in 1776 – marked by Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, James Watt’s improved steam engine, and the Declaration of Independence – as well as the challenges facing human flourishing and free markets today.
